How do I recover deleted files from Flash Drive?
When a file is deleted from the flash drive memory, they actually remain on the drive until it is overwritten by a new file. Remo Undelete can recover any deleted file(s) as long as it has not been completely overwritten. For successful recovery of the deleted files it is very important to act quickly and logically. Follow the precautionary steps mentioned below after you have deleted a file:
- Close all the applications and Switch off the computer
- Do not write anything to the flash drive
- Do not download any application to the flash drive with deleted files
- Try not to panic and as any adventurous behavior here may overwrite the recoverable data
- Finally, connect the flash drive to another system and then install Remo Undelete to that same independent system. Then scan the drive for deleted files and their recovery.
Simple steps to recover deleted files from flash drive with Remo Undelete:
Step 1: Run Remo Undelete by double clicking on desktop shortcut or run it from the programs menu.
Start -> Programs ->Remo undelete

Step 2: The software will display a list of logical drives. Select the logical drive which has deleted data and click “Next”.
As you click Next button, the application scans the selected drive for deleted data and lists all the found files and folders in a tree format under Root folder as shown in Figure b.

Step 3: After you find the deleted files you can preview them before recovery. To preview the file, double click on the file whose preview is to be seen. This will show the preview of the selected file as shown in Figure c.

Step 4: To save the recovered files, select the data you wish to recover or click Root folder to select, all the found data and click “Save”. A window to select destination location to restore recovered data is displayed as shown in Figure d.

Select the destination location and specify the file types you wish to ignore (file filter) while saving. If you want to save the recovered data in compressed form then enable the Compress Data option and click OK.
The program starts saving the data to selected destination location. All the data will be restored in a new folder by name “UndeleteX” in selected destination location. After the saving process is complete a message pops up intimating the same. You can now access your recovered data as before.
