If you have unintentionally deleted some vital pictures off your Digital camera or from an ipod, then don’t panic! They haven’t been permanently erased and you can still get them back.

Recovering deleted files from Digital Cameras or iPods

You will be wondering, how is it possible to recover files that I have already deleted? Well to give a quick answer, digital camera’s storage device (usually use SD card) or iPods (usually use one of two types of storage; miniature hard drives or flash memory) are a lot like a computers hard disk.

Whether the file has been deleted from a digital camera or from an iPod as like a computers hard drive, the file does not get permanently erased; instead the file gets removed and its space gets listed as available, re-usable space. Therefore until that space is overwritten by new data, the deleted file still exists and can be recovered.

So if you thought that the files you accidentally deleted off your digital camera/iPod were gone for good, then think again as with Remo Undelete you can get all of your desired reminiscences back instantly.

Key for recovering deleted files

The solution for recovering your deleted files is to act instantly and you will be almost assured to have your files back.

In order to increase the chances of recovery do not save anymore files as soon as you realize that you have deleted an important file

Best tool for recovering deleted files

Remo Undelete will easily and securely recover deleted files from any type of digital card reader or storage media. Remo Undelete Quickly locates and restores deleted files that other undelete software could never find.

This undelete application provides many features superior to those found in other undelete programs which include saving recovered data in a compressed (ZIP) format, ignoring file types before saving and the ability to preview all files found for precise data recovery selection.

It does not require special technical or data recovery skills to work with the software. Its Intuitive Interface makes recovering deleted data effortless.
Steps to be followed to recover deleted files

Step 1: Launch Remo Undelete Software either from program files or by double clicking on desktop shortcut. Main application window of Remo Undelete is as shown in figure a.

Note: If the logical drive you are looking for is not displayed in the list of logical drives, then use Search lost partitions option to find your lost partition (logical drive) and proceed with recovery process.

Step 2: Select the logical drive which has the selected data and click Next button. As soon as you click next, the application scans the selected drive for deleted data and lists all the found files and folders in a tree format under Root folder as shown in figure b.

Figure b: Found files and folders

Step 3: Once recovery is complete and tree structure is formed, the next and final step is to restore your found files and folders to a safe location. You can also preview the files before it could be recovered

Select the data you wish to recover or click Root folder to select all the found data and click as shown in Figure c.

Figure c: Select destination location

Select the destination location and specify the file types you wish to ignore (file filter) while saving. Also check if you want the data to be restored in compressed form and click .

As you click OK button, the program starts saving the data to selected destination location. Once saving is complete a message pops up intimating the same.

All the data will be restored in a new folder by name “UndeleteX” in selected destination location. You can now access your recovered data as before.
