Follow the few easy steps mentioned below to undelete files Windows 7 Operating system using Remo Recover (Windows) software.

Step 1: Download and install the software by selecting the icon from Windows Start->Menu->ALL Programs or by double clicking the shortcut present on the desktop. The main window of the software displays, as show in Figure 1. Select “Recover Deleted Files” option from the Main windows as shown in Image 1

Step 2: The window displays the logical and physical drives, select the logical drive from which you need to recover deleted files from Windows 7 as shown in Image 2 and click “Next”

Step 3: Once you click “Next”, the software starts scanning the drive to recover deleted or lost files from the hard disk drive. Once the scanning is completed you can view recovered data using “Data View” or “File Type View” as shown in Image 3

Step 5: Using “Save Recovery Session” option you can save your scanned information. Later whenever you activate the full version of the software by using “Open Recovery session” option you can re-load the previously scanned data as shown in Image 5

The most common causes for data loss in NAS, or RAID Arrays are:

Follow the instructions below to recover deleted files using Remo Undelete

Step 1: Run Remo Undelete by double clicking on desktop shortcut or run it from the programs menu. Remo Undelete main application window is opened as shown in Figure a.

Step 2: Select the logical drive which has deleted data and click “Next”. As you click Next button, the application scans the selected drive for deleted data and lists all the found files and folders in a tree format under Root folder as shown in Figure b.

Step 3: After you find the deleted files you can preview them before recovery. To preview the file, double click on the file whose preview is to be seen. This will show the preview of the selected file as shown in Figure c.

Step 4: To save the recovered files, select the data you wish to recover or click Root folder to select, all the found data and click “Save”. A window to select destination location to restore recovered data is displayed as shown in Figure d.

Select the destination location and specify the file types you wish to ignore (file filter) while saving. If you want to save the recovered data in compressed form then enable the Compress Data option and click OK.

The program starts saving the data to selected destination location. All the data will be restored in a new folder by name “UndeleteX” in selected destination location. After the saving process is complete a message pops up intimating the same. You can now access your recovered data as before.

Chances of Recovery

The chances of recovering your entire .pst file depend on the level of disk fragmentation before corruption. Fragmentation is a common phenomenon, because data is never stored in contiguous fashion on the drive. However, if you have used file defragment tools just or some time before data loss, then chances of recovery is greater.

Note: If the logical drive you are looking for is not displayed in the list of logical drives, then use Search lost partitions option to find your lost partition (logical drive) and proceed with recovery process.

Step 2: Select the logical drive from which the .pst file has to be recovered and click Next button. As soon as you click next, the application scans the selected drive for deleted data and lists all the found files and folders in a tree format under Root folder as shown in figure b.

Select the data you wish to recover or click Root folder to select all the found data and click Save as shown in Figure c.
