Western Digital is the second largest producer of computer hard drives in the world. Western Digital Hard Drives are available for different desktops and portable electronic devices. You can identify Western Digital products as a WD hard disk, WD hard drive or WDHDD. These hard drives come shipped with SATA, SCSI and IDE interfaces. Some different hard drive families are MOMMOTH, SABRE, HAWK, SCORPIO, BUCCANEER etc. Western Digital HD is relatively inexpensive and can hold a large amount of data compared to the other brands of hard drives. WD hard drives are more durable, but like all hard drives, they are also vulnerable to physical and logical damages. So to undelete data from damaged Western Digital HD you need to opt for reliable hard drive recovery software.
There are instances when the operating system that is installed using a Western Digital disk, fails to detect it. BIOS no longer recognizes it and you come across failure error messages. You hear typical scratching and grinding noises from hard disk and the drive appears to be completely dead. In such circumstances, it is important that you immediately replace the hard disk as it might be physically damaged, so that you can extract lost data manually using a good hard drive recovery tool .
When you try to start your system installed with a WD hard disk, you might fail to do so and the error message pops up saying
“WDC ROM MODEL”
Here, ‘ disk family name’ denotes the name of Western Digital hard drive family.
Such error messages indicate physical disk failure. You receive this error in BIOS screen that is generated by the PCB controller board when it cannot detect the hard drive
Few possible scenarios that leads to data loss from Western Digital HD are as follows:
- The hard disk ROM is corrupted.
- Corruption of one or more firmware modules.
- One of the more read or write heads are faulty.
- Wrong BIOS settings.
- Software malfunction.
- Boot sector infected.
- Hardware issues.
- Malware attacks.
- Power Surge.
You need to follow few precautionary steps in order to recover data from the corrupted Wester Digital HD:
- Power down the computer as soon as possible.
- Detach the hard drive from the computer .
- Connect the affected hard drive to a healthy system in order to recover the lost data using the relevant recovery tool.
Hard drive recovery software is a proficient data recovery tool with the help of which you can recover lost data from FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, NTFS5 and ExFAT formatted partitions on your WD hard drive. You can easily get back missing files from formatted NTFS drive within few mouse clicks. It recovers files from different types of hard drives like SATA, SCSI, IDE, etc. Along with memory cards, USB drives, FireWire drives, iPods, etc. 300 file types can be easily recognized and recovered with the help of this software. Follow the link to perform PDF file recovery along with excel, word, PPT files. This software has a capability to recover data from crashed or non-bootable hard drives by creating disk images. This tool can recover USB files and can also recover lost data from non-booting devices by creating disk images. Apart from this, you can also use this effective tool to recover data from deleted dynamic partition. In order to undelete dynamic partition use this efficient software in your system. You can download the free demo version to estimate recovery results. It supports recovery from all the versions of Windows and Mac OS.
