How to Undelete Dead Hard Drive Data?

The hard drive is widely used to store large amount of data in computer. Till now, the maximum capacity of hard drive is 3TB (Tera bytes). To use hard drive properly, you need to format it first. Because, if the new hard drive is primarily not the formatted means file system is not assigned so you cannot use it. The windows operating system has two types of file system, one is FAT (File Allocation Table) and other is NTFS (New Technology File System). Sometimes, you may find that your hard disk drive is not responding and making any unwanted noise when you are trying to boot from it, which may indicate that your hard drive might have died. Dead hard drive recovery is possible if the parts of hard drives are still functioning or working.

A hard drive crash may occur due to two reasons. One is mechanical failure and other is logical failure. Mechanical failure means your drive is physically damaged and logical failure means your drive is not physically damaged but due to corrupted file system or accidentally formatting you are unable to access the data. If you are unable to access the data due to logical failure, file system damage or file system conversion errors then you can recover that data using best professional hard drive recovery software. Visit: to know how to particularly recover deleted images by using this effective software.

Some scenarios leading to data loss from the Hard Drive:

  • MBR (Master Boot Record) failure may result in data loss. The first sector of hard disk contains MBR, which is used to hold partition table and boot the operating system.
  • If the hard drive is affected by virus, malware or spyware then it may not allow you to access files or it may not allow you to boot your system, which may result in data loss.
  • File system damage may also cause data loss. File system damage deletes your file table entry, making your data inaccessible.
  • Improper system shutdown due to power surge problems may also result in data loss as it may result in the creation of cross-linked files which points to same clusters and are more susceptible to virus attacks.

These logical errors can be corrected by inbuilt commands called CHKDSK and SCANDISK. These commands execute or run automatically when you boot your computer and fix the logical errors from file system. But, while repairing file system, there may be chances of the deletion of your essential data. So, executing these disk utilities also has the threat of data loss.
